JUBILEE ORPHANAGE
A PLACE OF REFUGE
We are in the beginning stages of building the Jubilee Orphanage in Mairinque, São Paulo, Brazil. We have purchased property in Mairinque, and have been raising funds to begin the main orphanage house very soon. As of now, the orphanage consists of 2 homes and 2 other buildings. We currently have two caretakers living on the property with their families. While still in the beginning stages of construction of the main orphanage complex, the association has been a place of refuge for numerous families, youth, and children who have otherwise been given no hope. Jubilee has provided food, clothing, shelter, and many other necessities to these individuals, along with greatly-needed spiritual guidance and counseling.
We are building a place where children and families can feel the love of God through our workers and mentors. Mothers seeking to have abortions will have an alternative for the child to grow up in a loving, consistent, and safe environment, and hurting families will receive spiritual guidance and counseling. Children living in the orphanage will also be given a quality education as well as much needed medical and dental care. Our desire is to teach them life skills to help them survive in their society. Each child will receive the counseling they need to grow beyond the hurts they have experienced at such a young age.
A Place Of Refuge
3.7 Million Orphans in Brazil
- Almost half of all street children in Brazil will die before 18
- Girls begin prostitution as early as age 11
- Drug-running for money begins as early as age 8.
There is an epidemic of utter hopelessness in the poverty stricken ghettos where children are used and then thrown away.
Families forced to survive see their children as a way to bring finances into their home and sell them into sex or drug trade.
With such an imperative we have a God-given burden to start Jubilee Orphanage in the heart of this wickedness.

Missionaries Ken and Isabel Cooper
Director and Associate Director
In 2001, while visiting the city of São Paulo, Brazil, Ken and Isabel were approached by a young boy who asked for a piece of their sandwich. It was this encounter that birthed a burden for the street children of Brazil.
Following much prayer and preparation, the Cooper family moved from Florida, USA to São Paulo, Brazil in 2012 to construct the Jubilee Orphanage that would give hope to the hopeless. Since 2012, the Coopers have helped countless families and children through the foundation by providing food, clothing, and other necessities. Their work has opened doors for many troubled youths and hurting families to receive counseling and learn life skills, allowing them many opportunities for a brighter future.
The Cooper family is excited about what the future holds for Jubilee as they near groundbreaking for the first Jubilee house, a structure that will allow them the opportunity to reach many more children and youth in the years to come.
