MEET THE STAFF OF JUBILEE ORPHANAGE
KEN AND ISABEL COOPER
DIRECTOR & ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR
In 2001, while visiting the city of São Paulo, Brazil, Ken and Isabel were approached by a young boy who asked for a piece of their sandwich. It was this encounter that birthed a burden for the street children of Brazil.
Following much prayer and preparation, the Cooper family moved from Florida, USA to São Paulo, Brazil in 2012 to construct the Jubilee Orphanage that would give hope to the hopeless. Since 2012, the Coopers have helped countless families and children through the foundation by providing food, clothing, and other necessities. Their work has opened doors for many troubled youths and hurting families to receive counseling and learn life skills, allowing them many opportunities for a brighter future.
The Cooper family is excited about what the future holds for Jubilee as they near groundbreaking for the first Jubilee house, a structure that will allow them the opportunity to reach many more children and youth in the years to come.
Paula graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Administration in 2013, and felt the call of God to use her degree to serve others.
Paula came to Jubilee in February of 2016 to serve as lead administrator of the Jubilee Orphanage Foundation, where she currently manages finances, construction, and public relations.
She and her husband, Everton, currently reside in Mairinque, São Paulo, Brazil where they actively serve in their local church and community.
GILMAR "GIL" ESPÍRITO SANTO
HEAD OF GROUNDSKEEPING
Gil came to serve the Jubilee Foundation in 2016 as head of grounds-keeping. He later met Helen, a young lady who had come to Jubilee seeking refuge, and in 2017, they were married.
Gil and Helen reside on the property of Jubilee, and Gil continues to serve Jubilee daily by managing lawn care, gardening, and maintaining a safe, clean environment for the children and families of Jubilee.
HEAD OF HOUSEKEEPING & HOSPITALITY
Flávia came to Jubilee in September, 2014 seeking refuge. Upon coming to Jubilee, she was offered the opportunity to learn English and etiquette, and is now employed as Head of Housekeeping & Hospitality.
Flávia continues to serve Jubilee in this position as well as aiding in English translation. Because of Jubilee, Flávia has been able to apply for and receive her passport and driver’s license—two extremely costly and difficult processes in Brazil.
She is currently studying tourism at Uniasselvi Mairinque, as well as serving as music director for her local church.
